A picture round is the one everybody remembers, and the only round where preparation genuinely cannot be improvised on the night. An hour spent assembling it properly is the difference between the highlight of the quiz and an apologetic mess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Close-ups of everyday objects, photographed unusually. Logos with the text removed. Famous landmarks from an unfamiliar angle. Actors as children. Flags of countries people think they know. Avoid anything that depends on recognising a face from a single region or generation \u2014 that is how a picture round ends up scoring one table ten and another two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ten images is the right number. Twenty takes too long to mark and people stop looking properly around image fourteen. Print one sheet per team if you can. Screens work but force everyone to move at the same pace, and a printed sheet lets a table argue over image three while looking at image seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Number every image clearly and say out loud how long the round will last. Five minutes for ten images is generous; three is brisk. Accept a partial answer where the image is genuinely ambiguous, and decide that rule before the round rather than when a team challenges you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
